Regulations

SBA Administrator, Maria Contreras-Sweet, has appointed South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Frank Knapp as Chair of the Region IV Regulatory Fairness Board of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Regulatory Fairness Board is an uncompensated body that has a representative from each state that advises the National Ombudsman.

Knapp will coordinate the efforts of the states of Region IV (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) to inform small businesses about the services of the Office of the National Ombudsman.

Knapp has been serving on this board since January of this year.

Sea Level Rise

This episode compared and contrasted planning in New York City and Charleston, SC, for rising seas.  Both cities are extremely vulnerable to sea level rise due to climate change.
