Health Insurance Reform Fails in House. Small Businesses Safe for Now.

With Speaker Paul Ryan’s decision this afternoon to not allow a House vote on the Affordable Care Act repeal, 14 million Americans—mostly working for small businesses—will continue to have health insurance next year.  That’s good news for small business owners who want healthy workers.

With the Affordable Care Act safe for now, federal dollars will continue to flow to healthcare providers. Our local economies will not see a decline in jobs. That’s good news for consumer demand that small businesses need to prosper.

Today turned out to be a good day for the nation’s small businesses.
