ACTION ALERT!!!  Congressional vote for a 1-year ban on offshore drilling and seismic testing could be this Friday

June 18, 2019

Call S.C. Representatives NOW!

Either this Friday (6/21) or Monday (6/24) the full U.S. House of Representatives will vote on the Department of Interior-Environment funding bill.

Four amendments are being offered.  Three would ban offshore oil drilling in the Atlantic, along the Florida coastline and in the Pacific for one year.   Our Rep. Joe Cunningham’s amendment would block seismic testing for oil in the Atlantic for a year.

Call each of our House delegation members (names and telephone numbers below) immediately.

Ask them to vote YES on the amendments to the Interior-Environment annual funding bill (H.R. 3052) to block offshore drilling and seismic testing in the Atlantic as well as offshore drilling in the Pacific and Florida waters.

This is the best plan for Congress to ban seismic testing and offshore drilling for oil in the Atlantic.
