SC general contractor joins business chamber board

Columbia, SC—Cliff L. Wilson has joined the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce, a statewide advocacy organization with a 23-year record of successful advocacy at the state and federal levels.

Wilson is the founder and president of The Centric Group, LLC., a Columbia-based general contracting company, that he started in 2014.

The Centric Group has grown into one of the most successful general contractors in the region. Projects such as Richland Two Schools HVAC & Electrical Renovation, Anderson School District One HVAC & Electrical Upgrades and Columbia Housing Authority Annex Renovation. As a general contractor, Cliff Wilson and The Centric Group, LLC, offer their clients a business partner who will facilitate the entire construction process, including pre-construction concerns, development of construction budgets and production schedules, management of subcontractors and government entities and the finalization of all projects on the most time and cost-effective schedule as possible.

Wilson holds degrees from South Carolina State University in Electrical Engineering Technology and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.  He is also a graduate of the Babson College & Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program.

Wilson is an involved leader in industry organizations and community outreach. He has been a member of the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas, National Association of Minority Contractors, Carolina-Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council and US Minority Contractors Association. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and also remains active at his alma mater, supporting the Electrical Engineering Technology program with scholarship donations.
