Small businesses invited to forum on health law

Small businesses in the Upstate will have a chance to learn about the Affordable Care Act and a new health insurance plan at a meeting hosted by the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce and The Small Business Majority this month.

The meeting is part of a statewide listening tour and will feature Frank Knapp, CEO of the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce, and Lee Long of Gibson & Associates.

They will offer information about benefits that small businesses have under the federal health reform law as well as new health insurance coverage for small businesses offered through the Small Business Chamber that could be more affordable that was is currently available.

The meeting will be at the Greenville County Library, 25 Heritage Green Place, on Sept. 27 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Those wishing to attend can contact Sheila Starkey at sheila@scsbc.org or at 803-252-5733.
