U.S. Chamber picks big business over small business yet again

“The (U.S.) Chamber serves the express interests of a foreign corporation at the expense of a very large number of its Affiliates and individual business members.” (from an amicus brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court on October 6, 2014 by:

Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce
New Orleans Chamber of Commerce
Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce
Ascension Chamber of Commerce
Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce
St. Bernard Parish Chamber of Commerce
River Region Chamber of Commerce
Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral

Thank God other chambers of commerce are recognizing and publicly saying what I’ve been talking about for years (here, here, here, here, ect.).  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce does not represent the interests of small businesses.

These local chambers is Louisiana now know that when the interests of the U.S. Chamber’s big business members are in conflict with the interests of small businesses, it is the latter that the U.S. Chamber will throw under the bus.  It’s all about money for the U.S. Chamber and the biggest contributors win its voice.
