Create Jobs and Save State Dollars
Send an email to your legislators NOW!
South Carolina has a unique opportunity to close the health insurance coverage gap, create thousands of new jobs and save taxpayer dollars all at the same time. Palmetto Plus is a private market proposal to allow South Carolinians who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid and too little to afford insurance under Affordable Care Act exchanges to purchase insurance on the private market. But lawmakers need to hear from you. Join the campaign today and let your representative know you support closing the coverage gap.

Your Workers Need Health Insurance
Make sure your employees have health insurance starting January 2016. If they don’t, let them know that December 15th is the deadline for coverage to start January 1st. Have them visit HealthCare.gov to submit their application for individual coverage in 2016. They can also call 888-998-4646. Most people are able to qualify for premium assistance and finish their application in 10 minutes or less.
If you want to explore tax credits for offering group health insurance, call 803-252-5733.
People with Disabilities: Untapped Resources
The University of South Carolina and The SC Disability Employment Coalition are gathering information from South Carolina businesses and we need your input by completing the following survey:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SCDisabilityEmployment.
The data gathered from this survey will be key in developing future initiatives that will help your businesses utilize an untapped underutilized resource in our communities, people with disabilities.
The survey would be best completed by someone active in making personnel decisions for your business or organization.
If you have any questions regarding the survey you may contact me at 803-777-8875 or via email: devlinj@mailbox.sc.edu.
