One more makes 18 for protecting our coast
Last week another local government took a stand stance against exploring and drilling for oil/gas off the South Carolina Coast. Back in January the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce took the same position out of concern for our state’s vibrant small business tourism economy and fisheries.
But while elected leaders from the coast to the Midlands are expressing their opposition because of the threat to our marine life and essential tourism economy, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is leading a group of Governors and big oil interests to push for fishing-destructive seismic blast testing with hopes of turning our coast into oil-spilling rigs and air-polluting petro processing plants.
This is not who we are. Our citizens know this and are raising their voices to stop this insanity.
We need to yell louder so that even the lame-duck Governor in Columbia can hear us.
Health insurance company caught stealing from business customers
If you think you’re paying too much for employer-sponsored health coverage, you might want to forward this to the HR department. It’s possible, maybe even likely, that your health insurer has been ripping off both you and your employer—to the tune of several million dollars every year—for decades.
87 small businesses started saving money and supporting the Small Business Chamber last week. How about you?
Last week the South Carolina Small Business Chamber ramped up its efforts to save small businesses on office supplies and printing purchases. Eighty-seven more small businesses received our Office Depot Discount Card and immediately started saving money on their first purchase. And because with every purchase the Small Business Chamber receives a small revenue stream they are also supporting our advocacy efforts.
Your Office Depot Discount Card is only a click away. Email us today and ask us to send you the card.
