As early as tomorrow the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on a bill, sponsored by South Carolina’s Joe Cunningham, to prohibit the leasing of federal waters for offshore oil drilling along the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts and in the Straits of Florida.
It is critical that the Coastal and Marine Economies Protection Act, H.R. 1941, is quickly passed by the House and sent to the Senate.
Please call all South Carolina House members today or tomorrow morning.
Ask each of our 7-member House delegation to vote to pass H.R. 1941 to block offshore drilling in the Atlantic.
