Yesterday I presented on a coastal resiliency panel at the Governors’ South Atlantic Alliance in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
The panel was moderated by Jeff Payne, Acting Director of NOAA’s Coastal Services Center. The other panelists were Courtney Hackney, Director of Coastal Biology at the University of North Florida; James Murley, Executive Director of the South Florida Regional Planning Council; and Gavin Smith, Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Natural Hazards and Disasters at the University of North Carolina.
The GSAA “is a collaboration of four states and their partners focused on shared ocean and coastal challenges and opportunities promoting environmental sustainability, disaster preparedness, and strong economies.”
It was quite an honor to be invited to talk about our SCBARS project (SC Businesses Acting on Rising Seas).
