SBA Administrator, Maria Contreras-Sweet, has appointed South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Frank Knapp as Chair of the Region IV Regulatory Fairness Board of the U.S. Small Business Administration. In January of this year Mr. Knapp was appointed to serve on the SBA Regulatory Fairness Board, a volunteer body that has a representative from each state and which advises the Office of the National Ombudsman.
In this new role, Mr. Knapp will be responsible for coordinating the efforts in the eight Region IV states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) to inform small businesses about services of the Office of the National Ombudsman. These services include assisting small businesses in resolving concerns about federal regulations they encounter and addressing payment issues under federal contracts.
