Below is the statement by Frank Knapp Jr., president and CEO of the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce concerning yesterday’s ORS requested PSC order to compel SCE&G to provide documents.
“We are tired of the PSC protecting SCE&G under the pretense of being concerned that the utility will take a ruling it disagrees with to court. Of course SCE&G is going to take legal action if and when the PSC stops carrying the utility’s water. It’s time for the PSC to show leadership and not subservience to SCE&G. The PSC should immediately rule in favor of the ORS motion to compel SCE&G to provide the agency with all the documents it has requested.”
